Welcome to Office Content
This site is about content management for the office worker, as in someone who uses a word processor on a regular basis (usually as part of an office software suite). This site will host Free Software, under the GPL license. We're starting with the authoring tool, providing templates and content-conversion programs for word processing software. Integration with content management systems will come later.
There are no releases set up yet so you can browse the source to find things.
So far we have:
- Documentation on WpInteropStyles.
- Some articles on Word and OpenOffice?.org by Peter Sefton on XML.com.
- A simple Python script to unpack OpenOffice?.org documents and generate XHTML using some stylesheets (provided you used the right template).
- OpenOffice? to XHTML XSLT stylesheets.
- Templates template for MS Word and !OpenOffice.org The Word template is a bit out of date, but the OpenOffice?.org template (ice.stw) should work well.
- A simple bit of code for HTML templates written in Python.
The templates and conversion code are part of the Word processor interoperability project, or WpInterop?, which began life on Peter Sefton's web site.
The site-boss is Peter Sefton. Reach him via pt@ptsefton.com if you have questions, or if you would like to help out.
